ASHEVILLE — Dell and three regional Goodwill Industries operations in Western North Carolina, have begun a free drop-off program for recycling unwanted computers.

Residents can call toll-free, (888) 4-GOODWILL or (866) 487 - 3873 or visit RECONNECT'S WEB SITE AT www.reconnectpartnership.com to find a convenient drop-off location.

The program IS NOW available at donation centers in Western North Carolina!

Goodwill will accept and sort the donated computer equipment, and Dell’s product recovery partner will recycle and remarket the recyclable materials, such as plastics, glass and metals. All proceeds support Goodwill’s nonprofit job-training and employment programs.

Residents will be responsible for removing data from hard drives and other storage media before donating to Goodwill.

Goodwill staff will provide donors with a donation receipt at the time of donation.
